Structural Steel Fire Rated Coatings
Fireshield® provides waterbased, 2-pack epoxy and solvent intumescent coatings for interior and exterior structural steel for 30 to 120-minute FRR protection.
All Fireshield steel coatings can be specified as a complete Fireshield system, or combined with other Manufacturers approved primers and topcoats, contact us for a copy of our Approved Primers and Top Coats list or see the approved list in the documents section for each product.

We have recently completed testing which allows Steel 1001, Steel 1002 and SQ476 to have timber and plasterboard attached directly to the coated surface, contact us for a copy of the Cladding Study.
Steel 1001 and 1002 can also be used to fire rate existing timber in historic buildings such as floor joists, floor boards and structural beams and columns. Contact Fireshield for more information on this specific design solution.

Fireshield 920KS
Fireshield® 920KS is a high build, two-pack solvent-free intumescent coating with a matt grey finish, designed for use on interior and exterior structural steel open and closed sections for 30 to 120 minutes protection from fire. Fireshield® 920KS can be used with Fireshield fire rated bolt caps.

STEEL 1001
Fireshield® Steel 1001 is a more environmentally friendly waterborne intumescent coating for the protection of interior structural steel sections optimised for 30 to 60 minutes protection from cellulosic fires in C1-C2 interior environments.

Fireshield SQ476
Fireshield® SQ476 is a white, single pack solvent intumescent coating used to fire rate internal structural steel for up to 120 minutes. SQ476 is now a special order item with a 3-month lead time.

Fireshield WeatherSeal
Fireshield® WeatherSeal is a single pack, aluminium filled sealer formulated to protect Steel 1001, Steel 1002 and SQ476 from rain or mechanical damage during construction or transportation of prepainted steel structures.
