About Fireshield® Intumescent Paint Systems

Fireshield® is a solution focussed fire protection business, we are not your typical intumescent coatings supplier, we develop, test, and manufacture our own products as well as supply products from other leading manufacturers around the globe and sell them locally.

Fireshield® has the ability to offer specific design consultancy services for alternative solution building code compliance, the business is owned and operated by Per Olsson, a Fire Engineer for over 20 years. 

Per Olsson CEO - MSc (Fire Engineering)

With over 30 years of global experience, Per Olsson is a distinguished fire engineer, overseeing projects across 20+ countries.

Presently, he leads Fireshield Protective Coatings Ltd and Halliwell Fire Research Group, focusing on expert witness cases.

Ben Marsh - General Manager -

Ben joined Fireshield in 2023 to assist the company’s growth as a direct-to-market organisation.

Ben has worked in construction professional services in NZ for the last 15 years. Impacting positive organisational outcomes through commercial awareness

Blair Rouse - Technical Director - NACE/CIP Level 1

Blair has been Fireshield's Technical Director for over 7 years.

Blair brings his substantial Architectural Design expertise and coatings knowledge to lead Fireshield's Technical Team and drive research and development of our fire-rated systems.

Warren Poh - Commercial Manager -

Holly Duggan - Office Manager -

Holly is our go-to Office Manager at Fireshield, holding it down since April 2021.

She's the one making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine around here – our behind-the-scenes superhero!

Gabby George - Technical Spec Consultant -

Bringing a wealth of experience from both NZ and the UK, Gabby joined the Fireshield technical team as a seasoned Architectural Designer who can support you with all your technical project inquiries.

Nicola Olsson - Business Relationship Manager - B.Ed.(Hons), MHRM.

One of the originals, Nicola helped set up Fireshield in 2016, returning to us later to manage our new product line Woodsafe.

Nicola presently coordinates Fireshield’s CPDs and technical sessions, conferences, and events.
